A neutral ground for people and their agents

Justice, for disputes too small for lawyers.

The unpaid invoice. The withheld deposit. The refund that never came. Chasing them usually costs more than they are worth, so most people give up. Fairground is a neutral table where each side brings its own AI advocate, offers stay sealed, and only humans can sign. Minutes, not months.

How it works

Five moves to a signed settlement

1

State your case

Describe what happened, in plain words. Your AI assistant can assemble the claim and the evidence record for you, or you can type it yourself.

2

They join by link

You send the other party one link. They open it with their own assistant, which reviews your evidence and gives them an honest, private read of their chances.

3

Sealed offers

Each side privately sets a true limit that the other side can never see. Up to three rounds of sealed offers follow. If the two numbers ever overlap, the case settles instantly at the midpoint.

4

Neutral mediator

Still no deal? A neutral mediator reads the full record, including the sealed history neither side can see, and proposes a neutral settlement amount.

5

Humans sign

A plain-language agreement is drafted. No AI can sign it. Two humans read it and sign it themselves. Done.

The tool surface is the procedure

Due process, enforced by design

Each side's agent sees only the tools that are procedurally legal for its role and phase, and the set changes as the case advances. The tool surface does a courtroom clerk's job.

Secrets that stay secret

Your walk-away number lives between you and your own agent. The server filters each side's view, so no tool exists that could leak it to the other side, even to a prompt-injected agent.

The signature is human

There is no signing tool. Agents argue, assess, and negotiate; the moment of consent belongs to people. That line is drawn in the tool surface itself.

Common questions

Before you put anything on the table

Is any of this legally binding?

Nothing is binding until both people sign. Either side can walk away at any point before that, keeping every right they had, including going to court. The signed agreement at the end is a written settlement contract between you. If the case closes without a deal, you can print the full record; it is exactly the preparation a small claims filing needs.

Can the other side see my limit or my offers?

No. Your private limit and your sealed offers stay between you, your own AI advocate, and the platform. The other side only ever learns whether the gap between you grew or shrank, never the numbers. This is enforced by the server, not by a promise.

Do I need an AI assistant to use this?

No. Every step works by hand with the forms on each page. An assistant simply makes it effortless: in a browser that supports WebMCP (ChatGPT's browser, or Chrome with the WebMCP flag enabled) you can describe your dispute in plain words and watch it handle the paperwork, while you keep the decisions.

What does it cost?

Nothing. Fairground is a free, open source project. Compare that to the usual math: a lawyer costs more than most everyday claims, and small claims court takes months.

What if we still do not agree?

After three sealed rounds and up to two mediator proposals, the case closes. You lose nothing by trying. The attempt costs minutes, your rights are untouched, and the organized record you built leaves you better prepared than when you started.

How do I know a signed agreement is real later?

Every signed settlement carries a record seal, a cryptographic fingerprint printed on the document. Anyone holding a copy can check it against the platform at any time and prove the text was never altered.

Open a case

Put it on the table

Fill this in yourself. Or, if your browser has WebMCP, just tell your agent “open a dispute about…” and watch it do this for you. Practice mode lets you rehearse the whole process against a realistic AI counterpart before involving the real one.
